Richard and Maurice McDonald started the first cafe to sell hamburgers, fries, and milk shakes. Then Ray A. Kroc opens his first Burger king and chooses that this individual could make more money by selling all of them milk-shake mixers. (Dess, 2010). Overtime these were able to always profit right up until Jim Skinner takes over since CEO and launches specialized beverages, which include coffee-based refreshments. SWOT EXAMINATION:
Strengths: McDonalds seems to be economic depression proof. That they seem to be capable of predict what is going to be successful above the long term. Helping the U. S. to have healthier by what they have already been eating and changing the way in which some consider the food they intake. (Dess, 2010). Weaknesses: Unfortunately, at times taking chances on new items on the menu and buying various other fast food places seem to simply weaken the general status with the company. Options: McDonalds possibility to take individual areas and make the foods that are popular to the regions and explore them in other areas which may have not had the chance to try them. Dangers: The biggest threat to B is the various other fast foods restaurants that are introducing themselves to new parts to the community. PORTER'S FIVE FORCES STYLE:
Risk of new traders: New junk food chains and also other restaurants that introducing them to new areas and always introduce these to new activities in food. (Dess, 2010). Barriers to entry will be low.
Bargaining Power of Buyers: Customer power is high once there is a substantial concentration of buyers relative to suppliers. This has the ability to change the profit of McDonalds purchase lowering the price tag on some goods to take on other fast food restaurants.
